Client: Zumiez
Project Description:Working with a designer from Zumiez, and drawing upon the color scheme and designs of vintage postcards, we created a double page ad promoting the "Zumiez 2003 Couch Tour" - a tour of famous skateboarders and snowboarders that would visit six cities in the United States. This ad appeared in a number of major skateboarding and snowboarding magazines, and elements of it were translated into everything from T-shirts and visors to posters and ID badges.
In this project, I worked primarily as the illustrator, but also help with conceptualizing and layout.

I went to the Chicago show listed on there. I was just Googling some old memories when I came across this. I remember seeing this poster in a Zumiez store back in '03 and being super psyched to go.
Thanks for keeping this posted. It is a truly awesome design. Made my day to see it again.
Thanks Steven, I appreciate that compliment and it's great to hear from someone who has a positive memory attached to something I've worked on.
This was one of the first print pieces I worked on professionally, so I've always had a good memory of it. It's important to note that I mainly just did the illustration portions and that Stuart Martin (http://thestuartmartin.blogspot.com/) was the lead designer and creative director on the project.
